Brow Tinting

About every month and a half, I get my eyebrows waxed. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since the age of 17. Throughout the years, my eyebrows began to grow thicker and thicker. This week, I was in need of a wax and I came across Candy Brow Bar on Instagram. The location is in Atlanta, Ga. So today, since I was off from work and had some free time, I decided to go and try it out.

Brow tinting is basically temporary dye placed on eyebrows to enhance shape, color, and thickness of your brows. Most women get brow tinting to have better looking groomed brows. What I got done today is waxing and tinting. I decided to get both because I was unsure what my brows would look like with just tinting. My brows were indeed thick and unstructured. First I got tinting. The dye was placed on my brows and the stylist shaped my brows as desired. The dye then sat for about 10 minutes before removal. After wiping off the dye, my brows were waxed and tweezed for a more groomed look.

Location: Candy Brow Bar in Atlanta Cost: $30 for wax and tinting Duration before fading: 1-3 weeks (depending on the person's skin) What not to do to tinted brows: Do not wipe them right after getting them done. Minimize products on or around brow area. Try to keep a minimum amount of oil on brows. Review: I did like the shape and fullness of my brows after getting them done. However, I do not think I will get my brows tinted every single time I get a wax. Since I already have full/ thick eyebrows, I would not need to get them tinted frequently. If the tint lasts longer than 1-2 weeks, I would definitely consider getting them retinted. Tinting, in my opinion, is something someone could get when they are going to a special event or have a special day planned.
